How to Build a Simple Mousetrap Car

In my AP Physics class we were required to create a mousetrap car that was able to roll 45 feet in order to obtain a 100 test grade. I was quite excited by this challenge, and created a car that rolled a total of 60 feet on the first test run, only taking a total of 3 hours to build! Here, I will be instructing you how to build a successful mousetrap car.

Impact of Black Holes on Science and Society

Black holes are awesome, we all know what they’re capable of, but how do black holes even impact us human beings on earth from deep space? Well for one, it could lead to the destruction of earth. If there were ever the chance of a physicist creating a tiny black hole in a lab, and lose control of it, it would essentially spaghettify everything and anything in its path and ultimately wipe out the entire human race and our planet. Nonlocality – When Particles Can Affect One Another From Large Distances

Quantum mechanics can be a quite entangling subject. Such is the topic of quantum entanglement. As I was reading Brian Greene’s “The Fabric of the Cosmos” and encountered the idea of locality and nonlocality, I became quite intrigued but yet confused. Unifying Quantum Mechanics and the Theory of Relativity

Although there are various problems in today’s society, a problem that itches the back of my and physicists’ minds continues to exist. The struggle to unify the theories of quantum mechanics and the theory of relativity is ever-growing. Continue reading “Unifying Quantum Mechanics and the Theory of Relativity”

Scientists Have Created a Wormhole

Scientists have created a wormhole in a lab! Sadly, for us sci-fi geeks and nerds, it’s a magnetic wormhole, not a gravitational one. Quite fortunately it still has the same fundamentals of a wormhole and is awesome in its own way!

What Exactly IS this Fifth Force?

Ever wondered if there may be another fundamental force of nature adding to the four already-known forces: gravity, electromagnetism, strong and weak nuclear forces? Luckily for you, physicists may have detected a boson that may lead to a fifth fundamental force of nature. Continue reading “What Exactly IS this Fifth Force?”

A Fifth Force – How Could it Affect Society and Science?

A fifth fundamental force of nature could soon be added to the four known forces of the universe: gravity, electromagnetism, strong, and weak nuclear forces. Continue reading “A Fifth Force – How Could it Affect Society and Science?”
